My husband was at Mardi Gras this last week street preaching, when lo and behold, he ran into a disciple of Richard's. At first, he thought my husband was the stupidest idiot most ignoramus person in the entire universe. But then, my husband started to tear down his evolutionary atheist argument and they had a good conversation. Most Christians believe what the Bible says literally as in God created the heavens and the earth in 6 twenty-four hour days. Instead of digging into the Scriptures, as the Lord commands us to do, they superficially look at it. When my husband began to explain that we dig into the Scripture, scientifically, prophetically, historically, he shed some light on how we're able to speak clearly to the evolution/atheist.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Hello Vera:

I don't know if you know about this debate; maybe RTB posted about it, but here is an article from eSkeptic.

I would love to see those, Rufus. $80 is a little over the top right now but I will definitely put those on my wish list.

Thanks for the heads up!

I was just perusing this commentary on this debate. I happen to know that this man is not sharing this information correctly. I believe that Hugh Ross would say that time is infinite, for example, but that this Hubble volume has a beginning at the Big Bang, which wasn't exactly a "bang" but more of a singularity that is stretching out. I have heard them share a bit on multiverses and the possibility that there is other possible universes.

In addition, he totally refutes the fine tuning aspect of this universe even though it is very compelling evidence. This is not because he has counter evidence though but because he simply believes it is wrong. He makes use subtle innuendo such as calling Hugh Ross's friends "cohorts" to set the stage for his arguments. He is obviously biased and he knows his audience is biased. They have already made up their minds. I would imagine that Dr. Ross did a great job. He is very intelligent. He is so unlike me in terms of being able to speak clearly and distinctly.

I am really looking forward to seeing these.
